With all the sweetness that is so popular in BBQ these days, it is important to remember that it’s ok to keep it savory.  Most beef doesn’t need a whole lot of help, but there’s just a few spices I like to throw together that give me just the right flavor.  A lot of people say that all beef needs is S.P.G. (Salt, pepper, and garlic.)  I agree with this, but I love to throw just a bit more in get the perfect flavor.

I don’t need to write much here, as it’s such a simple recipe.  I absolutely love to put this rub on tri trip.  Those that know me, know that tri tip is my favorite cut of beef.  It is extremely versatile.  You can cook it up to the doneness that you prefer for steak, or you can take it all the way brisket style.  This stuff works great for steaks, brisket, or any cut of beef you want.  It is salty, savory, smoky, and peppery.  It even tastes amazing on burgers! Enjoy!
