Guacamole Ingredients
- 2 Avocados
- 1/4 Cup Sour Cream
- 1/4 Cup Diced Onion
- 1/4 Cup Diced Tomato
- 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tsp Lime Juice
- Salt to Taste
Refried Beans Recipe
- 16 Oz Canned Refried Beans
- 1/2 Smoked Salsa Regular Salsa is Fine
FOR THE GUACAMOLE: Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher. I prefer a smoother texture, especially when making 7 layer bean dip. Stir in the sour cream and liquid ingredients next until mixed well. Add the onion and tomato, and salt to taste.
FOR THE REFRIED BEANS: Mix the beans and salsa until evenly incorporated
FOR THE COMPLETE DIP: Start with spreading the beans evenly across the bottom of a 9″x9″ pan, then work up through the layers. The sour cream spreads much nicer if it has been stirred beforehand. The cheese should make an even layer across all the creamy ingredients, and the remaining layers are sprinkled on in order. I prefer to use green onions flavor-wise or when I expect leftovers, but often substitute shredded lettuce. Make sure to season and add flavor to every layer You want every layer to be top notch. Every layer should taste great by itself before it is added.
