- 1 Lb Raw Shrimp
- 1-2 Tbsp Sweet BBQ Dry Rub
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 2 Tbsp Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/2 Cup Toasted Walnuts
Prep your grill for direct high heat grilling. Place the shrimp on skewers. I usually put about 4 shrimp on each skewer. Lightly season the shrimp with your favorite BBQ rub. I like to use my Sweet Paprika Dry Rub. If you have raw walnuts, place them in a small cast iron pan. Put the shrimp, and the cast iron pan of walnuts on the grill. If you bought toasted, or roasted walnuts, you won’t need to put them on the grill. I’m not going to say how long to grill the shrimp, because some shrimp cooks faster than others. I usually flip the shrimp after about 5 minutes. When the shrimp is finished it should be pearly, white, or opaque. Make sure to stir the walnuts every few minutes so they don’t burn.
While the shrimp is grilling, mix the mayonnaise, honey, and sweetened condensed milk in a sauce pan at medium low heat. You don’t want the sauce to boil. All you are doing is warming it up so it is hot.
The walnuts and shrimp should be done right around the same time. Take them both off of the grill. Add the walnuts to the sauce and stir to combine. Take the shrimp off of the skewers and add them to the sauce. Stir to combine. Serve over rice. Top with more sauce. Enjoy!
