Mango Habanero BBQ Sauce

Carson Morby
It's BBQ Sauce, but with a great Habanero Kick. It also comes with a great sweet, fruity flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups Frozen Mango Chunks
  • 2 Habanero Peppers Use 1 if you want it to be a bit more mild
  • 1 Cup Apple Juice
  • 8 Oz Tomato Sauce
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Molasses
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients together in a pot.  Leave the mango chunks in cubes.  Bring to a boil and let simmer on medium low heat for 25-30 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken and the mango chunks soften.  Remove the pot from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes.  Pour the contents of the pot into a blender and blend to your desired consistency.  I like to make sure the mango is blended smooth and evenly into the sauce. Enjoy!
