Brace yourself for one of the best Taco Tuesdays ever! This is a two in one recipe that will take you on a flavor train ride. Carne Asada is a super broad concept. Pretty much every country, and every part of those countries have their own way of making Carne Asada. To sum it up, Carne Asada is grilled beef. With that, you can pretty much go anywhere. Let me introduce you to my favorite way.
Let’s start with the marinade. This is a super important step! An awesome marinade helps to tenderize whatever cut of meat you are using, as well as let the flavor run through. My marinade is super easy to make, and is really affordable. The ingredients are super flavorful and easy to find at the grocery store. Throw together cilantro, orange juice, lime juice, garlic, some spices, and other things to start your journey. Let the beef marinate in these awesome ingredients for a few hours, and you are well on your way.
Now it’s time for the rub. There are a lot of Carne Asada rubs out there, and you can use whatever you feel like. This rub recipe is my favorite for Carne Asada. I use this on a lot of food! One of my favorite things to make, that I ate a lot of in Argentina, is Empanadas. Empanadas are basically fancy hot pockets with much better flavors. This rub has an awesome blend of spices, that I absolutely love! Soak the beef in the marinade for a few hours, then throw this rub on, and your Carne Asada adventure will be a dream come true! Enjoy!
